Setlist templates
Save a setlist as a reusable pattern, clone it into a fresh one for the next gig.
Setlist templates
A template is a setlist marked as a reusable pattern. You play roughly the same set every wedding cocktail hour — make it a template once, clone it for each new gig, swap out a song or two.
Save a setlist as a template
In the setlist builder, open Edit details (the title/duration/template controls). Flip Save as template on. Save.
The setlist now shows the Template badge in the grid. It still has all its songs, all its overrides, all its breaks — it's just flagged.
Find your templates
On the setlists grid, the Templates filter chip shows only your templates. The count next to the chip is your template count.

Clone a template
Cloning happens from the New setlist dialog, not from the template itself.
- Open the setlists grid.
- Hit New setlist.
- In the dialog, the Start from dropdown lists every template you've saved.
- Pick one, give the new setlist a name, hit Create.
The new setlist has every song in the same order, the same per-row overrides (key, notes), and the same set breaks — and it's a regular setlist, not a template. Edit it freely for the specific gig.
When templates earn their keep
Bands that play one type of gig repeatedly (weddings, weekly residency, corporate events) get the most value. A wedding band that's done 50 weddings can have:
- Cocktail hour template — instrumental, mellow, 45-60 min
- Dinner template — slower vocal numbers, 45-60 min
- Reception template — high-energy crowd-pleasers, ~90 min
- Late-night template — closer-friendly, ~30 min
Every new wedding becomes "clone all four, swap a couple songs per the couple's requests" instead of "build from scratch."
Tip: Templates are not locked. You can edit the template directly any time — those edits don't propagate to setlists already cloned from it. So a template is a starting point, not a master record.
